What Dazz Cam does

Dazz Cam is a retro camera app for iPhone that copies the look of old cameras: 35mm and medium-format film, toy, instant, disposable, half-frame and 3D cameras, plus CCD digicams. Video modes mimic 8mm, 16mm and VHS. It's free with some cameras; Dazz Pro opens the rest.

Film, toy, instant, disposable and 3D camera looks
CCD and compact digicam color profiles
8mm, 16mm and VHS video modes
Double exposure, flash, timer and manual controls
Lens and color filters

Dazz Cam is less an editor and more a shelf of old cameras. Each one has its own look, so you pick a disposable for a party, a CCD digicam for that early-2000s glow, or an instant camera for soft, faded color.

It has real camera controls too: flash, timer, double exposure, ISO, shutter, exposure, color temperature and tint, grids and lens filters. Video modes cover 8mm, 16mm, VHS and a slide projector look, which is great for short clips.

Some cameras are free, and Dazz Pro is a subscription that opens every camera and accessory. Be careful when searching on Android: we found several look-alike apps with similar names, and we couldn't confirm an official Android version, so we only list the iPhone app.
