What Lightroom does

Lightroom is Adobe's photo and video editor for iPhone, iPad and Android. The free app covers light and color editing and presets. Premium adds tools like the healing brush, selective edits, RAW editing on your phone, batch editing and cloud sync, and some AI tools may need it too.

Light, color and color grading controls
Presets, including ones shared by the community
Quick actions and adaptive presets for one-tap fixes
Generative Remove and background blur
Batch editing and cloud sync with Premium
Edits video with the same tools

Lightroom is the editor a lot of photographers already know from the desktop, shrunk down for your phone. The free version gives you exposure, highlights, shadows, color grading and presets, and you can browse looks shared by other people and save the ones you like.

Adobe has added AI on top. Quick actions and adaptive presets fix a photo in a tap, background blur fakes a shallow depth of field, and Generative Remove erases things you don't want in the shot. Video clips get the same light and color tools.

The catch is that some of the most useful tools sit behind Premium, including the healing brush, selective adjustments, geometry fixes, RAW editing on mobile and batch editing. If you want a serious editor that grows into a desktop workflow, it's a great choice. If you only need quick, free fixes, Snapseed gives you more for nothing.
