What Linea Sketch does

Linea Sketch is a minimal sketching app for iPad and iPhone from the small studio The Iconfactory. It is built for quick sketches, notes and wireframes, with a few good tools, five layers and ZipLines that snap rough strokes into clean lines and shapes.

ZipLines and ZipShapes clean up rough strokes
Small set of quality drawing tools
Auto-generated tints and shades for colors
Five layers, grids and templates
Export PNG, JPEG, PSD and PDF
iCloud sync between iPhone and iPad

Linea keeps things small on purpose. You get a pencil, pen, marker, watercolor, fill, blend and eraser, plus color palettes that create matching tints and shades for you. Five layers are enough for most sketches without getting lost.

Its best trick is ZipLines and ZipShapes. Draw a wobbly line or circle, hold for a moment, and it snaps into a clean one. That makes it great for app wireframes, diagrams and quick design ideas. There are grids, templates and paper backgrounds, text notes, and time-lapse recording.

You can export PNG, JPEG, PSD and PDF files, and iCloud keeps your sketches in sync across devices. The free version shows banners and reminders and adds a watermark to exports. Subscribing or buying the full version removes them.

It is not a painting app, and its App Store rating is lower than the big names, but for clean, quick sketches it is pleasant to use.
