ibis Paint X
An app that gives you a giant brush library for free on any phone.
What ibis Paint X does
ibis Paint X is one of the most popular free drawing apps on phones and tablets. It has over 130,000 brushes, comic tools, frame-by-frame animation and time-lapse recording. The free version shows ads; you can pay once to remove them or subscribe to Premium.
ibis Paint X packs a surprising amount into a free app. Beyond the giant brush library you get 30,000+ materials, lots of fonts and filters, screen tones, blend modes, vector tools, and symmetry and radial rulers. It is especially loved for anime and manga style art.
It also records your drawing as you go, so you can share a time-lapse of the whole process. Newer versions add frame-by-frame animation with sound, a reference window, 3D layers and Smart Shapes.
The free version shows ads, including banners while you draw. A one-time $15.99 purchase removes them. Premium, at $4.49 a month or $27.99 a year, adds extra features, and some advanced "Smart" features use credits you buy separately.
It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, and works well with a finger or a stylus.
