AudioPen
An app that turns your rambling voice notes into clear writing.
What AudioPen does
AudioPen turns your spoken thoughts into clean, readable text. You record a short voice note, and it transcribes it and rewrites it in a style you choose, or keeps the plain transcript. It has real apps for iPhone and Android, plus web, Mac and Windows, with a free plan and a yearly Prime pass.
AudioPen is made for your own voice, not for meetings. You hit record, ramble through an idea, an email or a journal entry, and it hands back a tidier, written version. You pick the writing style, and you can create your own. A voice typing feature also lets you speak into any app with a text box.
It is not a meeting recorder. There is no bot for Zoom or Meet, and recordings are short: up to 3 minutes on the free plan and up to 15 minutes on Prime. For hour-long calls, a meeting note taker is a better fit.
Privacy gets real attention. AudioPen says voice note audio is deleted from its servers within 48 hours, notes are not used to train AI, and the native apps can transcribe offline so audio stays on your device. It is a small indie app. Prime costs $99 for a year and adds longer recordings, unlimited note storage, audio file uploads and summaries that combine several notes.
