What CARROT Weather does
CARROT Weather is an iPhone weather app with a personality. Its robot host cracks jokes about the forecast, and you can turn the attitude up or down, all the way to a mode with swearing. Under the jokes it's a serious app with radar, alerts, widgets and a choice of data sources.
CARROT is famous for its voice. You can pick from several personalities, from polite and professional to snarky, and reviewers describe an optional profanity-heavy mode. It carries a 17+ age rating on the App Store. If you've searched for a weather app that swears, this is the one people mean.
Behind the humor is a deep, very customizable app. Premium adds radar maps, rain and severe alert notifications, home and lock screen widgets, Apple Watch complications and a choice of forecast sources. Premium Ultra adds a CarPlay app that shows weather along your driving route. There are also games, achievements and an AR mode just for fun.
It's made by a small indie studio and is mainly an Apple app. There is an Android listing, but it hasn't been updated since June 2023 and rates poorly, so we don't recommend it there. On iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch, it's one of the most fun weather apps you can get.
