What Huji Cam does

Huji Cam is a simple camera app for iPhone and Android that gives photos the look of a 1998 disposable camera: warm color, grain and random light leaks. There's no editing to learn. You shoot through a small viewfinder and the look is applied for you.

Disposable camera look with grain and color
Random light leaks on each shot
Small retro viewfinder, bigger in landscape
No editing needed

Huji Cam has been around since 2017, and it's still about as simple as it gets. You look through a tiny viewfinder, take the shot, and get a photo with faded color, grain and the odd light leak, a bit like picking up prints from the drugstore.

There's no editor to speak of, which is the charm. Each photo comes out a little different, so it feels less controlled than a filter. You can make the viewfinder bigger in landscape mode, and a touch mode is tucked away in the settings.

It's on iPhone and Android. Updates have been slow on iPhone: the last one there was in December 2024. If you want more control over the look, Dazz Cam or 1998 Cam give you more cameras and settings.
