Just Press Record is a simple voice recorder for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. You tap one big button to record, and it turns what you said into text you can search. It's a one-time purchase, with no subscription.
This is the app for people who want to catch a thought fast. You can start recording from the Lock Screen, the Action Button, Siri or your watch, and there's no time limit. The Apple Watch app records on its own and syncs back to your phone later.
Recordings are transcribed in more than 30 languages, and the text highlights along with the audio as it plays, so you can jump to the part you need. You can say punctuation out loud, share audio in from other apps, and keep everything in iCloud Drive or only on your device.
It isn't built for meetings with summaries or speaker names, and it doesn't record phone calls or other apps. Think of it as a really good tape recorder that also writes things down. If you want AI notes on top, an AI note taker will do more, usually for a monthly fee.
