Macadam
An app that turns your steps into coins you can send to your bank.
What Macadam does
Macadam is a step counter that gives you coins for walking. You can spend the coins with partner brands or turn them into money sent to your bank account. It reads steps from Apple Health or Google Fit, so it doesn't use GPS. Free on iPhone and Android.
Macadam is about as simple as walking rewards get. It reads the steps your phone or watch already counts, through Apple Health on iPhone and Google Fit on Android, and turns them into coins. It doesn't use GPS.
You can spend coins with partner brands or convert them into money and move it to your bank. Streaks add a bit of motivation, and you can buy a streak repair or skips if you miss a day.
Go in with low expectations on the money. Independent reviews describe it as slow, and some reviewers on Google Play say it takes a long time to reach an amount you can cash out. As a small thank-you for walking, it's pleasant and low effort.
