What Winwalk does

Winwalk is a free step counter that gives you coins for walking and lets you swap them for gift cards from stores like Amazon and Walmart. It started on Android and is now on iPhone too. It reads steps from Apple Health or Google Fit and doesn't need GPS.

Coins for steps, up to a daily limit
Gift cards from Amazon, Walmart, Google Play and more
Reads steps from Apple Health or Google Fit
Counts indoor, outdoor and treadmill steps
No GPS or location needed

Winwalk keeps the rules simple. Its store pages say you get 1 coin for every 100 steps, up to 100 coins a day. You collect your coins in the app each day, and a review notes you need to bank them daily so they don't go to waste.

Coins turn into gift cards from Amazon, Walmart, Google Play and other stores, delivered in the app. The developer says each store's smallest card is offered, and you can redeem more than one for a bigger amount. It counts indoor, outdoor and treadmill steps through Apple Health or Google Fit, so your watch steps can count too.

Ads are how it pays for itself, and an independent review mentions they can run long. It's only available in some countries, and the store pages warn that VPNs or extra accounts can get you suspended. The rewards are modest, so treat it as a small bonus.
