Oak
An app that guides short meditations and breathing with a clean timer.
What Oak does
Oak is a simple meditation and breathing app for iPhone and iPad. It has guided mindfulness and loving-kindness sessions, short breathing exercises like box breathing, sleep sessions and an unguided timer with interval chimes.
Oak keeps things clean. Choose a guided meditation from 5 to 30 minutes, a quick breathing exercise, or a silent session with a timer and optional background sounds.
There's a 10-day mantra meditation course, sleep sessions that pair breathing with soft sounds, and stats for minutes, breaths and streaks. You can also see how many other people are meditating right now.
It's free to use and Apple only. If you want a huge library, look at Insight Timer instead.
A good way to start: do the guided sessions for a week, then switch to the unguided timer with a soft background sound. The breathing section works well on its own when you only have two or three minutes.
