What PENUP does

PENUP is a free drawing app and art community from Samsung, on Google Play. You can color pages, draw along with step-by-step videos, paint with a set of brushes, and share your work. It works best on Galaxy devices with an S Pen.

Watercolor, oil, calligraphy and marker brushes
Coloring pages and templates
Live Drawing: draw along with a video
Photo Drawing with your own reference photo
Challenges and a community feed

PENUP mixes a simple drawing app with a friendly community. The brushes cover watercolor, oil, calligraphy, airbrush and markers, with smudge, layer and transform tools for basic editing.

What makes it good for beginners is the guided stuff. Coloring pages and templates give you something to start with, Live Drawing lets you draw along with a video, and Photo Drawing uses your own photo as a reference. Drawing challenges and a trending feed give you ideas and an audience.

It is free. The developer says full features like pressure sensitivity need a device that supports the S Pen, so it is most fun on a Galaxy device with an S Pen.

It is aimed at learning and sharing, not pro illustration, so serious artists will want a deeper app alongside it.
