Pestle
An app that keeps just the ingredients and steps from any recipe.
What Pestle does
Pestle is a recipe manager for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch made by an independent developer. It saves recipes from websites and social media, keeps only the ingredients and steps, and guides you through cooking with timers. You can share recipes and meal plans with your household.
Pestle's promise is simple: save a recipe and keep only what matters. Import from almost any site or social post, and you get the ingredients and steps without the clutter. If a page can't be read, Pestle saves a bookmark to the original so you don't lose it.
Cooking is hands-free, with guided steps, several timers at once, and a heads-up when a step takes a while. A 14-day meal planner and a shopping list sit alongside your recipes, and Households let you share all of it with family. Recent updates added Siri and Spotlight search for your recipes.
It's Apple-only, and the store page doesn't spell out what the free version leaves out, so check before you commit to Pro. If you want a modern, actively updated recipe app on iPhone with Apple Watch support, Pestle is worth a look.
