Plan to Eat
An app that turns your saved recipes into a weekly meal plan.
What Plan to Eat does
Plan to Eat is a meal planner built around your own recipes. You import recipes from websites or type in family favorites, drag them onto a calendar, and get a shopping list sorted by category. It works on iPhone, Android and the web, and you can share with family.
Most meal planners hand you their recipes. Plan to Eat starts with yours. Save recipes from any website or add your own, and sort them by course, cuisine or main ingredient so you can find them later.
Planning happens on a drag-and-drop calendar. When the week is set, the app builds a shopping list from those meals and groups items by category, and you can assign items to different stores. Cook mode walks you through each recipe, and a recent update added nutrition breakdowns per ingredient. Everything syncs between your phone and the web version.
It's subscription-only after the trial, and reviewers note there's no pantry feature and no starter recipe library. If you already have recipes you love and just want to stop asking what's for dinner every night, it's one of the most focused tools for that.
