What Settle Up does

Settle Up is a group expense tracker for roommates, couples and travel groups. Everyone adds what they paid, and it works out the fewest payments needed to get even. It works offline, handles many currencies, and friends can follow a group in a browser. The free version has ads, and Premium adds extras.

Each person in the group adds what they paid. Splits can be uneven or have several payers, and when it's time to square up, the app works out the smallest number of payments needed to get everyone even.

It works offline and syncs later, handles multiple currencies, and lets you invite people with a link or QR code. Friends who don't want to install anything can follow the group in a web browser. You can export to CSV and send reminders when someone owes.

The free version shows ads (on Android, the developer says after every third expense). Premium removes them and adds receipt photos, recurring expenses, custom categories, Excel export and stats. It's a solid middle ground: the core splitting is free, and the extras cost money.
