What Felo Translator does

Felo Translator listens to a conversation and shows live subtitles in another language as people speak. It detects which language each person uses, saves the conversation, and covers about 15 languages, including English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Indonesian. It is made by Felo, a small AI company.

Live translated subtitles while people talk
Automatic detection of each speaker's language
About 15 languages
Saved conversation and translation history
Day passes and minute packs for short trips

Felo is closer to live captions than a classic translator. Set your phone on the table and it turns what people say into text and translated subtitles as they talk, so you can follow a class abroad, a meeting or a face-to-face chat without stopping to tap buttons.

It figures out which language each person is speaking and keeps an archive of the conversation and its translation. Felo says its translation mixes a fast pass with a more careful one, to balance speed and accuracy.

It needs a connection, and it is not cheap for regular use. You can try it free, then pay for time with day passes, minute packs or a monthly or yearly Pro plan. For a short chat, free conversation modes in Google Translate or Apple Translate may be enough.
