What HuntStand does
HuntStand is a hunting map app for iPhone and Android. The free version covers GPS maps, markers, satellite view and wind forecasts. HuntStand Pro adds nationwide property lines, owner lookup, public land maps and offline maps for $29.99 a year.
HuntStand is a solid pick if you want hunting maps without paying much. The free app lets you map your hunting area, drop markers for stands and trails, check satellite imagery and see HuntZone wind forecasts, which show how the wind will move across your spot.
Pro is where the property lines live. For $29.99 a year you get nationwide property maps covering all 50 states and most of Canada, owner lookup by name, public land maps, 3D terrain, fresher satellite imagery and offline maps. A whitetail tier adds deer activity forecasts and rut maps if that's your thing.
One thing to know: HuntStand has a very strong rating on the App Store but a low one on Google Play, so Android hunters may want to try the free version before paying.
And as with every app here, the property lines are an approximation from public records. They are not a legal survey, and phone GPS adds its own error near a line.
