onX Hunt
An app that shows property lines and public land for hunting.
What onX Hunt does
onX Hunt is a GPS hunting map for iPhone and Android. It shows private property lines with landowner names, public land colored by agency, and hunting unit boundaries, and you can download areas for use without signal. Membership is priced by how many states you need.
onX Hunt is one of the best-known hunting map apps, with more than 270,000 App Store ratings. You open the map, see where one parcel ends and the next begins, and tap a parcel to see the owner name and acreage that come from county records. Public land is color-coded by who manages it, like BLM, the Forest Service or a state wildlife area, and you can turn on hunting unit boundaries.
Beyond lines, it's a full field map: topo and satellite layers, waypoints, tracks, weather, a rangefinder sync and offline downloads so the map keeps working when your phone has no bars.
Be clear about one thing. These maps are not a legal survey. onX says its parcel data is based on county records and is not survey-grade, and that phone GPS is only accurate to about 16 feet. If an exact line matters, the county records office or a licensed surveyor is the place to confirm it.
Pricing is by state. If you hunt in one state, Premium is the cheapest way in. If you travel, Elite covers the whole country.
