Mercury Weather
An app that shows the week's weather as clean, easy-to-read charts.
What Mercury Weather does
Mercury Weather is a simple, calm weather app for Apple devices, made by a small indie studio. It turns the forecast into clear charts you can read at a glance, and adds trip forecasts, radar, storm tracking and widgets. The developer says it collects no data.
Mercury is for people who find most weather apps too loud. The forecast is shown as clean charts, so you can see at a glance when it'll warm up, when it'll rain and how windy it gets. Daily details are a tap away, and the same calm design runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
Its standout feature is Trip Forecast: add a trip and see the weather for each place on the days you'll be there. It also has rain forecasts, hurricane and storm tracking, tide forecasts, weather normals, a radar map, notifications and home and lock screen widgets.
The free version covers current conditions, a 24-hour and 7-day forecast and the key details. According to a 2024 review, Premium adds unlimited saved places, Trip Forecast, lock screen widgets and historical weather. The App Store privacy label says the developer collects no data. It's Apple-only.
