What NextPayPlanner does

NextPayPlanner is a small, free iPhone app that answers one question: what do I have to pay before my next paycheck, and how much can I spend until then? It groups your bills by pay period and gives you a daily spending number. It's a solo project that launched in early 2026.

Bills due before your next paycheck, at a glance
Bills grouped by pay period
Estimated safe amount to spend each day
Quick check for whether a purchase fits
Face ID lock, and no data collected per the developer

NextPayPlanner skips spending categories and starts from your paydays. You enter your pay schedule and your bills, and it shows which ones land before the next check. Bills are grouped by pay period, so you can see each stretch between paychecks as its own small plan.

The number most people will look at is the safe daily spend. After your upcoming bills are set aside, the app estimates how much you can spend each day until payday. There's also a quick check for whether a purchase fits, and a preview of the bills coming up next. The developer says the app collects no data, and you can lock it with Face ID.

Keep your expectations small. It has a single rating, the last update was in March 2026, and it needs iOS 26 or later. There's no bank sync, no reports we could confirm and no Android version. If you want a free, private answer to "am I OK until Friday?", it's worth trying. If you want a full budget, look at a bigger app.
