What RoomScan Pro does
RoomScan Pro turns a room scan into a floor plan on iPhone and iPad. On LiDAR devices you walk around and it builds the plan for you. On any iPhone, Touch Mode lets you tap the phone against each wall instead. It exports to CAD, IFC and PDF, so plans can go into professional tools.
RoomScan Pro gives you more than one way to scan. If your iPhone or iPad has LiDAR, you can use Apple's RoomPlan or the app's own faster LiDAR mode and get a plan by walking around the room. If it doesn't, Touch Mode has you hold the phone against each wall in turn, which also works in dim rooms.
Once the plan is drawn, you can check ceiling height and wall areas, pin photos and notes to spots in the room, and mark things up with an Apple Pencil on iPad. It also scans building exteriors and connects to some Bosch and Leica Bluetooth laser measures if you want extra precision.
Exports cover CAD, IFC, PDF and more, so plans can go straight into professional tools. The app is free to download, but the LiDAR features need a subscription at $9.99 a month or $119.99 a year. It's made by a small independent company and is only on Apple devices.
