Speechnotes
An app that turns your voice into a typed note, even offline.
What Speechnotes does
Speechnotes is a no-fuss dictation notepad. You tap the mic, talk, and your words appear as text you can copy, email or save. It runs on Android and in the browser, works offline on Android, and the basics are free.
Speechnotes is a plain, simple way to write by talking. There's no AI rewriting or meeting bot, just a clean page that fills with text while you speak. You can say punctuation like "period", "comma" or "new line" and it formats as you go.
On Android there's an offline mode, which is handy on a plane or with bad signal. The web version runs in Chrome and there's a Chrome extension too. When you're done, you can export a plain text file, email it, or copy it to paste somewhere else.
The free version shows ads. On the Speechnotes site, Dictation Premium removes them for $1.90 a month, and transcribing uploaded recordings costs $0.10 a minute with no subscription. There's no iPhone app, so on iOS you'd use the web version or pick something else.
