What Weawow does

Weawow is a free weather app with no ads. Its trick is comparing forecasts from several weather services side by side, so you can see when they agree and when they don't. It has radar, official alerts and lots of widget styles, on iPhone and Android.

Compare forecasts from several weather services
Animated globe with radar, wind and pressure layers
Hourly and up to 14-day forecasts
Official weather alerts and air quality
14 customizable widget styles
No ads, funded by donations

Weather forecasts often disagree. Weawow puts several of them on the same graph so you can judge for yourself. On Android it can pull from sources like the US National Weather Service, Germany's DWD, Meteo-France, MET Norway and Apple Weather, and you can add AccuWeather and Foreca with an optional donation.

You also get hourly and up to 14-day forecasts, an animated globe with radar, wind and pressure layers, air quality, official weather alerts and sun and moon times for photographers. There are 14 home screen widget styles, plus lock screen and notification forecasts.

The best part is what's missing: no ads, and the developer says it collects no data on iPhone. It's funded by donations instead. There's no Apple Watch app, and the design is busier than minimalist apps, but for a free, ad-free forecast it's an easy one to recommend on Android and iPhone.
