Clime
An app that draws storm warnings right on a live radar map.
What Clime does
Clime (full store name: Clime: NOAA Weather Radar Live) is a radar-first weather app with over a million ratings on the App Store. It shows real-time radar, satellite clouds and official National Weather Service watches and warnings drawn as shapes on the map, with push alerts for places you save.
Clime is built around its map. You see live radar, a 24-hour rain forecast and satellite cloud cover, and official watches and warnings appear as outlined areas, so you can tell at a glance if a warning covers your area. Save a few places and it pushes alerts for them.
The forecast side covers the next 24 hours and seven days with pressure, humidity, wind and sunrise times. Premium removes ads and adds a hurricane tracker, lightning tracker, wildfire tracking, air quality, rain alerts, an animated wind map and 14-day forecasts.
Two things to weigh. Premium is expensive: the US App Store lists it at $9.99 a week or $69.99 a year. And the privacy label lists location and other data used to track you. If you want radar with warnings on the map, it does that well. If you want it cheap or private, look at RainViewer or Hello Weather.
