What Nike Training Club does

Nike Training Club (NTC) is a free workout app from Nike. It has trainer-led workouts and multi-week programs for strength, conditioning, yoga, pilates, stretching and recovery. Many need no equipment, so they work at home, and there are gym programs too. You need a free Nike account.

Trainer-led video workouts from beginner to advanced
Bodyweight, strength, HIIT, yoga and pilates
Stretching, mobility and recovery sessions
Multi-week programs for home or the gym
Workout log that syncs with Apple Health and Google Fit
Apple Watch support

NTC is the free workout app a lot of people start with. Open it, pick how long you have and what equipment is around, and choose a workout. Trainers walk you through each move on video, and you can follow a single session or a program that runs for several weeks.

The range is wide. There are bodyweight and core workouts for small spaces, strength and conditioning programs for the gym, HIIT, yoga and pilates flows, and recovery sessions with stretching and foam rolling. Levels go from beginner to advanced, so it grows with you. Finished workouts are logged, and it syncs with Apple Health, Google Fit and your Nike Run Club runs.

It's free, which makes it easy to recommend. The tradeoffs: some video classes and live sessions are only offered in certain countries, updates have been slower lately, and it doesn't build a personal plan around your progress the way paid apps do. For a free library of good workouts, it's hard to beat.
