Fitbod
An app that plans your next strength workout around your gear.
What Fitbod does
Fitbod plans your strength workouts for you. Tell it your goal, your level and what equipment you have, and it picks the exercises, sets and weights for each session, adjusting as you log. It works for the gym or home. There's a 7-day free trial, then a subscription.
Fitbod is for people who want to lift but don't want to plan. Instead of writing your own program, you open the app and it hands you today's workout. It picks exercises based on your goal, your equipment and which muscles you've worked recently, and suggests weights and reps.
Every exercise has a video demo and written steps, from a library of more than 1,000 moves. If you swap something out or change a weight, it uses that to shape the next session. There are cardio and mobility options, home workouts with no equipment, and sync with Apple Health, Strava, Fitbit and smartwatches.
The tradeoff is cost. There's no free plan, and after the 7-day trial it's one of the pricier lifting apps. If you already know your program, a simple log like Strong or Hevy is cheaper. If you want someone to just tell you what to do in the gym, Fitbod is built for that.
