Sweat
An app that gives women trainer-led programs for home or the gym.
What Sweat does
Sweat is a workout app built for women. You pick a program from one of its trainers, like strength, HIIT, pilates, yoga or barre, and follow it week by week at home or in the gym. It also has pregnancy and postnatal programs. You need a subscription after any trial.
Sweat began as the Sweat with Kayla program and now has many trainers and styles. Instead of picking random workouts, you choose a program and the app lays out your week. Each exercise has a video and a short description, and you can swap a move for an easier or harder one.
There's a lot in it: home workouts with little equipment, gym programs with weight logging, HIIT, circuits, yoga, pilates and barre, plus programs for pregnancy and after giving birth. A weekly planner, step and water trackers, recipes and a community forum round it out. Levels run from beginner to advanced.
It's not cheap, and there's no lasting free version. Prices on the App Store vary by plan and offer, so check what you'd pay before the trial ends. If you want structure, variety and an app that speaks to women's training, Sweat is a strong pick. If you want free, FitOn and Nike Training Club are the places to start.
