What Receipto does
Receipto is an AI receipt scanner for iPhone. It reads the store, totals, tax, tip and line items from a photo or PDF, takes receipts you forward by email, and sorts them into folders and tags. At tax time it bundles a PDF report, a CSV and your receipt files into one tax pack.
Receipto reads a lot more than the total. Snap a receipt or import an image or PDF, and AI pulls out the store, date, subtotal, tax, tip, payment method and line items when it can find them. You check the result and fix anything before it saves.
You can also forward emailed receipts to your own Receipto address, and a note in the email can tell it which folder or tag to use. Folders, categories and tags keep things sorted, and it handles 162 currencies, which helps if you travel for work. Separate personal and work spaces keep the two apart.
The tax pack is the standout. Pick a month, quarter or year, and it checks for drafts, duplicates and missing details, then zips up a PDF report, a CSV and every receipt file. The catch is price. Pro starts at $7.99 a week, so the yearly plan is much better value if you stick with it. AI reading needs an internet connection.
