Sunsama
An app that helps you plan each day with your tasks on the calendar.
What Sunsama does
Sunsama is a daily planner that walks you through choosing what to work on, then timeboxes those tasks on your Google or Outlook calendar. It pulls tasks in from apps like Asana, Trello, Todoist, Notion and Gmail. You plan on the web or the Mac, Windows and Linux apps, and check in on your phone.
Sunsama is less about automation and more about habit. Each morning it guides you through a short planning session: pick the tasks that matter today, estimate how long they'll take, and drag them onto your calendar. If you plan more than fits, it tells you.
Tasks come in from the tools you already use, like Asana, Trello, Jira, Todoist, Notion, Gmail and Slack, so you don't have to copy things over. At the end of the day, a shutdown ritual helps you review what got done and move the rest. A weekly review shows where your time went.
Your plan lives on the desktop. The web app and the Mac, Windows and Linux apps have everything, while the iPhone app is a companion for adding tasks, checking your plan and seeing your calendar on the go. It's best to start on a computer.
There's no free plan, and the price is on the high side for a planner. If a calm, intentional workday is what you're after, though, the trial makes it easy to see whether the ritual sticks.
