Hevy
An app that logs your gym workouts and lets friends follow along.
What Hevy does
Hevy is a gym workout tracker. You log sets, reps and weights, plan routines and see your progress in graphs. It has no ads, a social feed where friends can see and copy your routines, and watch apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS. The free plan is generous. Hevy Pro removes the limits.
Hevy feels like a gym log with a bit of social media mixed in. You plan routines, start a workout and log each set, with a rest timer running and your previous numbers on screen. You can mark sets as warm-up, drop set or failure, and group exercises into supersets.
There's a library of hundreds of exercises with demo videos, and you can add your own. Graphs show your volume, best weights and one-rep max over time. The social side lets you follow friends, see their workouts and copy routines you like, which is handy if you train with a buddy.
The free plan has no ads and unlimited logging, but caps routines and custom exercises and shows only the last 3 months of graphs. Hevy Pro removes those caps and is one of the cheaper upgrades in this category, with a lifetime option. If you want a modern, free gym log, Hevy is the one we'd try first.
