Your work is saved. An error during a build never loses your project or your chat history.

What to do

1

Try to send the prompt again

Most errors clear on a second attempt. Retry before changing anything.
2

Send your request in smaller pieces

If it fails again, ask for one change at a time instead of several at once. Smaller requests almost always succeed.
3

Start a fresh message for the stuck step

If the same step keeps failing, send a new message describing only the change you want — and don’t repeat earlier instructions.
4

Refresh if the page seems frozen

Refreshing is safe. Your project and chat history come back exactly as they were.

Why this happens

An error usually means one of three things: the request was too complex to finish in one pass, a brief network issue interrupted the build, or the step was harder than it looked. In every case, a smaller and simpler request is the fastest way through.

Still stuck?

If the same prompt keeps failing after a few tries, ask in the Discord community or email support@bilt.me. It helps to include what you typed when the error appeared.
